Sources say that the network is knee-deep in talks with exec producers for a new incarnation of the multicamera comedy, and its likely the entire cast – sans star Roseanne Barr – and creative team and crew would return. But since Barr created the character, there’s a good chance she’ll still get paid if they go ahead with a spinoff. They should just scrap the whole concept and bring everyone back with an entirely new premise.

Agents of Shield was renewed, Gotham is coming back for a final 13 episodes (which will take them to the 100-episode mark needed for syndication), Lethal Weapon will return with Seann William Scott replacing Clayne Crawford, and CBS dropped Kevin Can Wait and Scorpion. Perhaps most surprising were the seemingly slam-dunk pilots that weren’t picked up, including Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba‘s Bad Boys spinoff, Hannah Simone‘s Greatest American Hero reboot, and Katie Holmes‘ FBI drama.
