Beyonce and Jesse Williams Light Up BET Awards

-I was switching between the BET Awards and the Game of Thrones finale last night, but luckily I happened to catch the two moments from the ceremony that everyone is talking about: Beyonce’s insane opening number with Kendrick Lamar (which was not announced in advance — probably because BET was burned the last time they hyped her appearance and she ended up only showing up via Skype), and Jesse Williams’ amazing speech. (The fact that one of the first thing he acknowledges is the contributions of black women — when has that ever happened before?!) His Tumblr is also great, as is this Twitter story of him previously stepping up without wanting any acknowledgement or publicity.

-Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake hit up Twitter after Jesse‘s speech with some weird tweets that veered dangerously close to #AllLivesMatter territory, so Twitter hits back.

-In Game of Thrones news, here are all the times before last night’s finale when the show tried to tell us who Jon Snow’s parents are.

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston are working overtime to land him Bond show off their love. They were photographed getting cozy at dinner, and then hanging out with his mom — twice!

-So Kanye West dropped an new video on Friday that features a bunch of “naked” celebrities — including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Bill Cosby, Amber Rose, and Chris Brown. Legally, how is this a thing he can do?!

-In less controversial debuts, Rihanna premiered “Sledgehammer” this weekend.

Blake Lively‘s terrible chopping skills are giving me life.

-Meanwhile, Blake says “there’s a strong chance” there will be a third Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants movie. Huh.

-When Rory Gilmore met Michelle Obama

Diane Kruger gushes about Joshua Jackson in a new interview and now I’m even more confused about the status of their relationship!

Mindy Kaling has a list of very reasonable requirements for her spin instructors.

Matthew McConaughey says he had “a big crush” on Sarah Jessica Parker when he was younger. Sure, but do y’all remember when he called her “peculiar” on Oprah? #NeverForget

50 Cent was arrested in the Caribbean for swearing. Remind me to never go to the Caribbean.

Jenny Slate and Chris Evans attended the The Secret Life Of Pets premiere in NYC together and they look adorable! I mean, I wish he’d dressed up a little but the adorableness is still overshadowing it.

-Last night, John Oliver warned that Brexit vote is a warning call to US voters that “there are no f*cking do-overs” before tackling Olympic doping scandals.

Jesse Eisenberg scolded anti-gay protesters in London.

-Last week’s two new episodes of Comedy Bang Bang were filled with awesome guest stars, from Tegan and Sara doing a Hitchcock homage to Emily Bett Rickards starring in a She’s All That spoof.

Winona Ryder talked  about her relationship with Johnny Depp, saying he was “never abusive at all towards me” when they dated — 23 years ago.

-Meanwhile, Johnny continues to live life to the fullest ’cause why not.

Rami Malek feels a little weird about being your internet boyfriend — but he’s cool with it.

-Mad Men’s Matthew Weiner talks about directing the final episode of Orange Is the New Black’s latest season (don’t read if you’re not caught up!).

-Keanu director Peter Atencio was really unhappy how the film was marketed to kitten lovers. (But the kitten was seriously the best part!)

-Speaking of movies, Independence Day Resurgence is so bad that I walked out of it this weekend. Like, I bolted before the midway mark.

Kate Mara and Paul Giamatti get all Orphan Black-y in the Morgan trailer.

Did Vivica A. Fox Just Out 50 Cent?

-Last night when I was flipping between feeling trolled by The Walking Dead or feeling faint over Jeffrey Dean Morgan‘s hotness on The Good Wife, Vivica A Fox was spilling truth tea over on Watch What Happens Live. First she insinuated that her ex 50 Cent is gay…and then she just kind of said it. He promptly responded with his gross go-to.

-How cute is Steve Aoki when meeting Celine Dion? When she does a live version of his “Heart Will Go On” remix and he looks like he’s about to pee? Adorable.

-I was hard on The Leftovers last season, but that scene in last night’s episode between Regina King and Carrie Coon was next-level acting.

Patrick Dempsey and his ex-wife were spotted holding hands in Paris, 11 months after filing divorce.

-This behind-the-scenes recounting of ER’s “Hell or High Water” (the episode where George Clooney‘s character saves the kid in the drain pipe) is great.

Justin Bieber was on Ellen today, and she asked him how he felt about that leaked dick pic, as well as whether or not he plans to reunite with Selena Gomez.

-Speaking of Ellen, she hosted a celebrity cooking segment that was basically an excuse for us all to watch Martha Stewart shade Drew Barrymore.

-I didn’t want to listen to Marc Maron‘s interview with Lorne Michaels because he whines so much about not getting cast on SNL (and apparently this podcast took it to new levels), but he did manage to get some decent scoop.

-There’s lots of backtracking on the box office reporting this weekend. Last week, everyone was saying Spectre had to make at least $90 million, and now they’re trying to spin a $73 million opening into a good thing.

-Blindspot is the first new fall show to score a renewal.

-Speaking of TV, here’s the first trailer for Jennifer Lopez’s new cop show.

-This new CW drama from Olivia Munn sounds like something I’m going to watch the crap out of.

-I held off on listening to the Hamilton soundtrack until last week because I was pretty sure it was going to take over my life. I wasn’t wrong. 60 Minutes interviewed Lin Manuel Miranda last night, and it was awesome. I love when he talks about how Hamilton’s raps had to be so much more complex than the rest of the characters’.  “He needed to be, like, from the future, just this world-beating intellect. So every couplet had to be unimpeachable.”

-Here’s the season 2 teaser for Better Call Saul, I show I loved when it aired but then promptly forgot existed.

Idris Elba and the Star Trek Cast Dance for Charity

Idris Elba dancing in this Star Trek promo for Omaze is my new favourite thing ever.

-A teenager asks Bryan Cranston how he liked filming Breaking Bad in Albuquerque,  immediately regrets the question.

-Just in case you were starting to like Jesse Eisenberg, he just likened Comic-Con to genocide and labelled journalists pariahs. So he’s still *that” guy.

Whoopi Goldberg has finally admitted that Bill Cosby is maybe sorta probably a rapist.

-While everyone makes jokey headlines about 50 Cent‘s bankruptcy, no one seems to be paying attention to the fact that he filed for bankruptcy because he lost a lawsuit for distributing revenge porn.

-Oh, and now he’s playing the victim and saying “when you’re successful, you necome a target.” Yeah, that’s not gross at all.

-Key & Peele’s menstruation PSA is golden. “Be nice to your bitches when they bleeding.”

-God bless Amandla Stenberg for calling out the double standard around black female sexuality following Kylie Jenner’s cornrows photo on Instagram.

Eric Stonestreet and Bethenny Frankel aren’t confirming or denying reports that they’re dating, but at least they’re having fun with it.

Amanda Seyfried says a few years ago on one of her big-budget movies, she found out she was getting paid 10% of what her male costar was making.

-NBC says it will still renew Aquarius, despite banishing the drama to Saturdays. How does this make any sense, financially or otherwise?

-Warner Bros. is mad that we all wanted to watch the Suicide Squad trailer after it debuted at Comic-Con, and got really pouty when it ended up online.  This is pretty much the best reaction to it.

-I’m hearing only good things about this Tangerine movie, which was shot almost entirely on an iPhone 5s.

-I don’t know why Kate Hudson is so reluctant to eat ants. I once paid lots of money for that privilege.

-The final Fantastic Four trailer is…not good.

Owen Wilson hooking up with Imogen Poots in She’s Funny That Way has scarred me for life. And that’s just the trailer.

Liam Hemsworth and Kate Winslet are in love in this trailer for The Dressmaker (which, sadly, is not about Liam’s secret desire to become a seamstress.)
