Channing Tatum Loses at Jenga — And We All Win!

-If this is the result of Channing Tatum losing a game of Jenga, he should always always be playing Jenga.

Anjelica Huston gave a free-wheeling interview to Vulture and although her views on #MeToo and her defense of Jeffrey Tambor and Woody Allen aren’t great, most of her other answers are amazingly candid.  She claims that after she beat Oprah Winfrey at the Oscars, the TV icon wouldn’t speak to her when they crossed paths, and talked about the bad behavior of costars Eddie Murphy and Bill Murray (“He was a shit to me on Life Aquatic”), and ex-boyfriends Jack Nicholson and Ryan O’Neal (“He head-butted me. He took my head in his hands and hit it with full force against his head because he couldn’t find me at a party”).

-Wow, how cute is Princess Charlotte in these newly released portraits from the palace?

-This is a fascinating look at who got higher billing on Avengers: Endgame.

-Wait, we have been mispronouncing Lloyd Dobler’s name all this time?!

-HBO has released the trailer for season two of Succession. That show took quite a few episodes for me to get into it, but now I’m all in.

-Every new trailer for Mindy Kaling and Emma Thompson‘s Late Night makes me more and more excited for this movie.

-Hulu threw a star-studded presentation in NYC this morning, where they debuted new trailers for George Clooney’s Catch 22, the latest season of The Handmaid’s Tale, and the one I’m most excited about: the Veronica Mars revival.  Damn, this trailer looks good!

-The internet is convinced Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake recorded a new song together.

-This Scandal oral history reveals that ABC originally wanted Connie Britton to play Olivia Pope, and that Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn had this “immediate electricity” (which I’m sure is provoking much snickering in the blind item circles).

-This is an interesting peek inside the WGA talks.

Jemima Kirke and Dennis Quaid had a charming conversation about on-set boners.

50 Cent punched a female fan in the chest at a concert, but then invited her twerk on stage so I guess all is forgiven?

ZoĂ« Kravitz‘s short, platinum cut is giving me hair envy.

Cuba Gooding Jr. and Sarah Paulson sang show tunes together on a night out in the West Village. I guess they’re both over skirt-gate.

Katy Perry and Ryan Phillippe aren’t dating, but they are exchanging cute tweets about the rumours.

-I enjoyed this take on how The Rock became our fave populist hero.

-This is a good read on how independent cinema is moving out of the art house and into every house thanks to Netflix and Amazon.

-I don’t watch Bates Motel but star Freddie Highmore directed last night’s episode and everyone loved it. In my head he’s still 12 so this is all very confusing…

Charlize Theron beats a man to death with her stiletto in new Atomic Blonde promo. This feels like something they should have not given away in the trailer but I’ll take it.

Are Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston Over?

-Forget the kids going back to school. The true end of summer 2016 was marked today by the reported breakup of Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston. (That being said, I’m side-eyeing Us Weekly’s source who’s claiming “Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with.” That just can’t be right.)

-Take it with a giant salt lick ’cause it’s coming from Radar, but they claim Katie Holmes can’t go public with Jamie Foxx until 2017 because it’s part of her divorce agreement.

Chris Brown is speaking out after his arrest, saying “My character’s been defaced.” Feel like that ship sailed ages ago, buddy.

Demi Lovato got a really big, really ugly tattoo on her arm and Snapped the whole process.

-Not gonna lie: one of the reasons I’m going to the Nocturnal Animals premiere at TIFF is to see how director Tom Ford dresses his leading lady, Amy Adams. She killed it in Venice.

-A movie that I’m not seeing at TIFF but wish I was is Moonlight, which is getting raves. The film continues amazing run for Brad Pitt’s Plan B, which is likely to have a fourth consecutive best picture nominee.

-I’m not sold on Renee Zellweger’s premiere dress, tho.

-I got 8/10 on this “Name That Hamilton Yo” quiz, and I’m so disappointed in myself.

-This new photo from the Gilmore Girls reboot is super unflattering for Luke. Which kinda makes me love it.

-Don’t. Remake. Heathers.

John Boyega continues to be one of my favourite celebrity tweeters because of adorable crap like this.

-Surprise, surprise. Amy Schumer‘s book isn’t selling so well.

Channing Tatum offered Ellen Degeneres a preview of the new Magic Mike show coming to Vegas. This is going to factor into a lot of my vacation planning next year…

-Also, watching Channing fangirl over meeting Simone Biles is all kinds of swoony.

-Lots of good reaction has been written about Lena Dunham‘s problematic comments last week. Complex’s take on her white privilege is getting the most buzz, but I also kind of liked this one about how she’s a f*ckboy.
