–Tom Holland opened up about the toll shooting his latest Apple TV show The Crowded Room had on him (“I remember having a bit of a meltdown at home and thinking, like, ‘I’m going to shave my head. I need to shave my head because I need to get rid of this character'”) and how it led to him reexamining his mental health and becoming more aware of his “triggers.” He also revealed that he’s been sober for over a year.
-I kind of love that the CW keeps acquiring Canadian shows. The latest is the sitcom Run the Burbs from Kim’s Convenience’s Andrew Phung.

-The striking writers might soon have some company on the picket lines. Both the directors’ guild and the actors’ guild have contracts that are ending in a few weeks, and both have suggested they’re ready to fight, with the DGA president saying, “Make no mistake: the current position of studios is a threat to the economic model that for decades protected tens of thousands of good union jobs in our industry.” The actor’s guild president is Fran Drescher, who was spotted on the picket line. If all three guilds strike at the same time, it’ll be a historic shutdown in Hollywood.
-When revealing the title of her next album, Doja Cat called her last two “cash grabs,” saying “y’all fell for it.” Gee, that definitely makes me want to support her further.
–Ed Sheeran says he didn’t turn down playing at the coronation like the media suggested — because he was never asked.
-I love that “This Is How You Lose the Time War” by Ottawa authors Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone has suddenly gone viral thanks to a tweet over the weekend. I’ve had it on my Kindle for four years and finally got around to reading it a few weeks ago, and it is everything everyone says it is (and so short!). I also love that in this interview about the book’s renewed interest, El-Mohtar recommends “The Impossible Us” by Sarah Lotz, another book I recently adored.
–This old clip is amazing. Richard Donner needed a vacation after working with kids for an entire year on The Goonies. As a prank, Steven Spielberg flew the entire cast out to join Donner on vacation.
-I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about a spinoff of The Good Fight featuring Elsbeth because as much as I loved her on that show, she seemed best in small doses. But I’m totally charmed by this trailer. Plus, it’s a True Blood reunion between Carrie Preston and Stephen Moyer!
