The Wildest Leaks from Prince Harry’s Memoir, Spare

Prince Harry‘s book Spare, which comes out next week, is not releasing advanced review copies so I’m not sure how The Guardian and Page Six got it, but they both have a bunch of tidbits from the book. The biggest is that Harry alleges Prince William reportedly called Meghan Markle “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive” before physically attacking his younger brother. Writes Harry, “It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.” In less shocking parts, Harry accuses William and Kate Middleton of encouraging him to wear that 2005 Nazi costume, saying “they both howled” with laughter, and that both he and William “begged” their father not to marry Camilla Parker Bowles. He also says he wished he never watched Meghan’s sex scenes in Suits (“It would take electric-shock therapy to get those images out of my head”) and that he showed up to William and Kate’s wedding frostbitten after a March 2011 expedition to the North Pole: “While the ears and cheeks were already healing, the todger wasn’t. It was becoming more of an issue by the day.”

-Palace sources say William is furious about the leaks. Just wait until the book comes out on Tuesday…

-According to the 911 call, Jeremy Renner‘s torso was “completely crushed” in the snow plow accident and he was experiencing “heavy bleeding from his head” and “extreme difficulty” breathing. He’s still posting selfies from the ICU so that’s a good sign.

Cate Blanchett and Todd Field cover the new issue of Variety to discuss Tár, a movie that I didn’t think I liked but can’t stop thinking about.

Claire Foy said she was made to feel “really uptight and high-maintenance” for worrying about her safety while filming a stunt with an elephant for the 2017 movie Breathe. “Maybe I was a bit of a baby about it. But I was a bit like, ‘I feel like this is a bit unsafe, guys. It’s not a trained elephant. It’s just a random elephant that we’re driving up to.'”

Ashley Olsen married her longtime boyfriend, artist Louis Eisner, last week in California.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is uninterested in a Buffy reboot. “I am very proud of the show that we created and it doesn’t need to be done. We wrapped that up.” She’s completely right.

James Cameron said Avatar: The Way of the Water had to hit 2 billion in order for it to be profitable. So will it? Experts predict it has a real shot at it, but it’s not guaranteed.

-Wondering why no one is going to the movies? Four of films currently in the top 10 at the box office (The Fablemans, The Menu, Strange World, Violent Night) are already available to stream at home. I had two recent theatre experiences that made me so grateful I was watching the film with a crowd (Glass Onion and Aftersun) but I get why people aren’t dragging themselves to the movies when the at-home release turnaround is becoming so short.

Aubrey Plaza and Michael B Jordan are set to host SNL this month.

-Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp took to TikTok to come out, saying “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.'”

-Another day, another photo of Brad Pitt and Ines De Ramon on vacation.

Lisa Rinna is leaving the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after 8 seasons.

Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill have an extremely awkward dinner in the new You People trailer.

Nicolas Cage plays Dracula and Nicholas Hoult plays his fed up assistant in the new trailer for Renfield. Oh, this looks FUN!
