Joe Jonas talks about losing out on the Spider-Man role. “I remember years ago I was up for Spider-Man and I was so, so excited and it was the year Andrew Garfield got it. Drew Barrymore and Brooke Shields commiserated about their brutal Barbara Walters interviews.

-I think Quentin Tarantino is not a great guy (his treatment of Uma Thurman, his defense of Roman Polanski, his refusal to speak up about Harvey Weinstein), but Marvel fans going after him and Martin Scorsese for being some sort of gatekeepers is ridiculous. Both of those guys have produced and championed diverse, little-known filmmakers.

-I completely forgot that we’re getting a Luther movie!

Ice Cube says he walked away from a $9 million film job because he didn’t want to follow the covid protocols. “I turned down a movie because I didn’t want to get the motherf—ing jab…F— that jab. F—- ya’ll for trying to make me get it. I don’t know how Hollywood feels about me right now.”

-The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is getting good reviews.

-I’m surprised that the early box office tracking for Avatar: The Way of Water is so high.

-This video of Lupita Nyong’o training underwater for Wakanda Forever is intense!

Mandy Moore has joined Season 2 of Peacock’s Dr. Death alongside Edgar Ramirez.  I like her a lot but if Joshua Jackson didn’t get me to watch it, no one can.

Zoey Deutch stars in Prime’s new holiday romance Something from Tiffany’s.
