Drake Takes It Back

-At their Saturday night show in Toronto, the Backstreet Boys welcomed a surprise guest: Drake. He joined them onstage to sing “I Want It That Way.”

-Congrats to Lindsay Lohan, who tied the knot to businessman Bader Shammas on Friday.

Kim Kardashian, Kate Perry, Jessica Chastain and more decried a “shortage of Independence” for women on this July 4th.

-The new Minions movie scored a huge four-day opening at the domestic box office, raking in $125.2 million. I love that (at least part of) its success seems to be attributed to the TikTok trend of teen boys dressing up in suits to go see it.

Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek are working on another movie together — and also hanging out offset.

-A judge ordered film director Paul Haggis released from house arrest while prosecutors decide whether to pursue their investigation of whether he allegedly raped a woman.

-A judge has issued a restraining order against Ricky Martin. It’s unclear who requested the order or why, but Martin’s brother claims it’s from an estranged nephew with mental health problems. The singer issued a statement saying, “The protection order entered against me is based on completely false allegations, so I will respond through the judicial process with the facts and the dignity that characterize me.”

-The final two episodes of this season’s Stranger Things crashed Netflix this weekend.

-Speaking of Stranger Things, Joseph Quinn is just as charming in interviews as he is playing Eddie (though much more British). And yes, he’s aware that his “Chrissy, wake up” dialogue has turned into a TikTok trending sound.

-The cast of Netflix’s Heartstopper were spotted flipping off some counter-protesters at London’s Pride Parade. Bless those kids.

-Meanwhile on stage this weekend, Adele draped herself in pride flag that a fan says he’d “bought for eight quid at Holborn station just hours before.”

Joey King posted a cute TikTok with fiancé Steven Piet, captioning it “I love him with my whole heart, and i wanted to show him off a lil.”

-This is not it, Bette Midler.

-HBO’s Industry, a show I really liked and then promptly forgot about, returns next month.

-Rebecca Hall has to face her past sins in the Resurrection trailer.
