Meghan Markle Dazzles in Dior

The Queen met great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time after inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to a private lunch with senior royals during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

-Meanwhile, today was quite the royal fashion show. Meghan was my fave in Dior Couture, but I also liked Louise Windsor’s look.

Kim Kardashian says she was the one who reached out to Pete Davidson because he had BDE and she was DTF. “I wasn’t even thinking, like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m going to be in a relationship with him.’ I was just thinking, ‘heard about this BDE. I need to get out there. I need to just, like, … jump-start my …’ I was just basically DTF.”

Matthew Morrison took to Instagram to defend himself and read the text to a contestant that he says got him fired from So You Think You Can Dance. He claims that was the only text (but doesn’t mention he sent it after midnight).

-On the same day that Sarah Jessica Parker‘s Hollywood Reporter story came out (in which she talked about her feud with Kim Cattrall), SJP’s Hocus Pocus costar Kathy Najimy, who starred with SJP in Hocus Pocus, tweeted “Sending love to my brilliant authentic talented beautiful hilarious @kimcatrall1 today…miss you.” I never expected Najimy to be messy, but I’m here for it.

Mindy Kaling has launched an imprint with Amazon, and her first recommendation is Sonali Dev‘s upcoming book. Dev’s Jane Austen-inspired novels are excellent, so this is a good sign.

-The first three episodes of The Boys dropped today. Early reviews are promising.

-I love this Megan Stalter profile, which gets into where the real person end and her personae begins. She was so, so good in Hacks this season.

-Now Liam Payne is backpedaling his Zayn comments.

-This is an interesting look at how Johnny Depp’s case was textbook DARVO, a common manipulation strategy used by abusers.

-I’m very excited to watch Fire Island this weekend! Here’s a good profile on star Bowen Yang.

E. Alex Jung just knocked another profile out of the park with this piece on Joel Kim Booster, whose wrote and stars in Fire Island. “I knew I was gay before I knew I was Asian.”

-Booster also costars in Loot, the Apple TV show in which Maya Rudolph plays a billionaire looking to re-invent her life after her husband (Adam Scott) cheats on her.
