Sydney Sweeney’s Princess Diaries Moment

-Here’s my picks for the top 10 Met Gala looks this year. On the flip side, I think my most disappointing celeb was Sydney Sweeney, especially because I had such high hopes for her.

-In more proof of the TikTokification of social media, I was surprised how so many celebs posted near identical videos about getting ready, with the hand-covering-the-camera transition. Gabrielle Union, Kerry Washington and Nicola Coughlan were just some examples.

-While the Kardashian family was walking the Met stairs, a jury sided with them in Blac Chyna’s $100 million defamation trial.

-Part two of Vanity Fair’s deep dive into the Grey’s Anatomy writer who allegedly lied about her personal history has dropped. This story just gets more and more bizarre, with an Anna Paquin cameo.

Bill Murray addressed those allegations of inappropriate behavior that got his latest production shut down, saying, “I had a difference of opinion with a woman I’m working with. I did something I thought was funny, and it wasn’t taken that way…It’s been quite an education for me, I’ve been doing not much else but thinking about it for the last week or two.”

-THR has an in-depth report on why Justin Lin quit the latest Fast & the Furious movie one week into filming, including an ever-evolving script, last-minute castings, a location change, and a door-slamming fight involving star/producer Vin Diesel.

Justin Bieber says he had an “emotional breakdown” after realizing his marriage to Hailey Bieber wouldn’t solve his personal problems. “You want your wife to do something that you’re not doing and it’s like, it’s hard sometimes to look in the mirror and really have to realize, man, maybe you’re not the person that you necessarily thought that you were.”

Drake has scored a multi-faceted deal with Universal Music Group that encompasses recordings, publishing, merchandise and visual media projects, and said to be worth $400 million or more.

Dan Aykroyd and his wife are separating after 40 years(!) of marriage.

Norman Reedus says he supports costar Melissa McBride‘s decision not to take part in their Walking Dead spinoff. “Twelve years is a grueling schedule. She wanted to take some time off and she’s doing that. She deserves it.” Fans were apparently harassing him about her decision, which makes no sense.

-The embargo has lifted for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and critics seem to be most impressed by Elizabeth Olsen’s performance.

-I didn’t realize that Legends of Tomorrow was cancelled by the CW last week. Bummer.

-Netflix continues to scramble, and has scrapped plans for Meghan Markle’s animated series, Pearl.

Viola Davis in talks to reprise her Amanda Waller character in a Peacemaker spinoff for HBO Max.

-Following the box office success of Jackass Forever, a revival of the TV show is in the works for Paramount+.

Daniel Radcliffe is impressively committed in the first trailer for Roku’s Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
