Anne Hathaway’s Triumph Over Kelly Clarkson

Anne Hathaway recognized the opening chords to “Since U Been Gone” before Kelly Clarkson did, and it was glorious.

Kylie Jenner wrote on IG that she and Travis Scott have changed their son’s name. “FYI our sons [sic] name isn’t Wolf anymore. We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”

-The conservatorship reversals continue! Amanda Bynes is officially free from her nearly decade-long conservatorship.

Kate Middleton‘s hot pink gown is a pretty surprising choice for her. I think Tom & Lorenzo nail it: “Aside from the color and the sparkle, we can’t get particularly excited about the design. Still, it’s hard to argue that she doesn’t look great in it, and it really is a pleasant departure for her.”

-I like that Sandra Bullock went big with her look for the LA premiere of The Lost City.

-The fact that The Lost City is at 88% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes is surprising. I’m going to see it no matter what, but this is refreshing for a romcom!

Billie Eilish and Finneas will perform “No Time To Die” at the Oscars on Sunday. Still no confirmation about Beyonce’s rumoured performance.

-In news that should surprise no one, Rachel Zegler not only got invited to the Oscars, she’ll be a presenter. I’m so curious if her team was behind the original IG post, or if she just did it. In either case, I respect the hustle.

-As we head into Oscar weekend, it’s looking like the BAFTAs was a super spreader event in London.

-This pic Carrie Coon posted from The Gilded Age set is everything.

-Speaking of The Gilded Age, the show is a mess (a mess!) but the wardrobe is on point. This is a really good piece on the costuming, including how they modified corsets to accommodate Coon’s real-life pregnancy.

No matter what’s going on with Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet, his bromance with Lenny Kravitz remains strong.

-Thrillist profiled Abbott Elementary’s Janelle James, who has taught us that Thursdays are the sexiest day of the week.

-Speaking of good profiles, I liked this one on Starstruck’s Rose Matafeo.  (The reviews for the new season are so good, too.)

-Somehow, for some reason, the Sex and the City sequel And Just Like That has been renewed for a second season.

-The CW has renewed The Flash, All American, The Flash, Kung Fu, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Superman & Lois and Walker. No word yet on Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Charmed and Legacies.

Dianna Agron and Dustin Hoffman star in the As They Made Us trailer, written and directed by Miyam Bialik.

Taylor Swift’s new song “Carolina” soundtracks the trailer for Where The Crawdads Sing, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones. That book has such a problematic history but the trailer is intriguing.
