-New couple alert? Euphoria costars Zendaya and Jacob Elordi are vacationing in Greece together. (Eagle-eyed fans spotted them in a few social media posts.) I only know him from The Kissing Booth but he seems like a lovable lug so, um, get it I guess?

-Speaking of possible new couples, SNL’s Pete Davidson has been spotted again with Margaret Qualley (who was in The Leftovers and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood). How does he keep pulling quality ladies?!

-Game of Thrones costars Emilia Clarke and Rose Leslie are vacationing together in India and they were “robbed blind by monkeys.” (The ridiculous blind items surrounding those two and Kit Harington are either going to go away, or kick into higher gear. I can’t tell.)

Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things paved his IT costar Bill Hader.

-This article on how Friends has aged poorly is so, so good.

Iman wore an incredible dress in Venice. We’re not worthy.

-Critics didn’t love Kristen Stewart‘s Jean Seberg biopic in Venice, but seem to agree that her performance was great.

Kerry Washington says she misses interacting with fans during her Scandal live-tweets — so she just posted her phone number. This won’t end well.

-Reuters got a ton of heat today for tweeting about Kirsten Dunst getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with the caption, “Kirsten Dunst, best known for her role as Spiderman’s girlfriend…” They’ve since changed it.

Jesse Plemons talking about falling in love with Dunst is very, very sweet.

-Meanwhile, Dunst spilled some tea about her career in a new interview: “I’ve also had a lot of disappointment. The things that people like…remember when Marie Antoinette [came out] — y’all panned it? And now you all love it. Remember Drop Dead Gorgeous? Panned. Now you all love it. It’s interesting for me. I feel like a lot of things I do people like later.”

-Here’s the first trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate, starring Mackenzie Davis and Linda Hamilton.

Justin Bieber Takes Us To Church

Justin Bieber helped lead last night’s service at Churchome in Beverly Hills, performing with the church’s band.

Constance Wu addressed her controversial tweets when Fresh Off The Boat was renewed in a new interview with the LA Times. “I had this moment of heat where I got upset because I had to give up a job I had been looking forward to and had been chasing for a while..I’m an actress—I can be dramatic.” She added, “I like that people are expressing their feelings about it, because it improved my awareness of what it means to be a public figure. I’ve had a back and forth about it. It’s the line between being a role model, but also authenticity.”

Billie Eilish lashed out at Nylon magazine for not getting her consent to use her likeness on the cover.

Richard Linklater is directing an adaptation of Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along that will star Ben Platt and Beanie Feldstein and be shot over the course of *20 years*.

-Lainey has a new blind riddle! The mentions of “stupid” and “infamous” make me think it’s not about Shawn/Camilla. Justin/Hailey? Miley/Kaitlyn?

-Meanwhile, here’s Shawn Mendes without a shirt and eating an avocado. Just because.

Harry Styles likes the sitcom The Other Two. Good taste!

Lindsay Lohan’s new song slaps, much to everyone’s surprise. (FF to the 2 min mark to hear a clip from it.)

-A Marriage Story starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver is getting absolutely glowing reviews. I considered using one of my TIFF tickets on this but it’s coming soon to Netflix. Plus, Noah Baumbach aren’t typically my jam.

-I don’t know how I missed CBC’s segment of Jam or Not a Jam with Lizzo but it’s great. She defends Nickelback (“It has a beautiful climax…The beat drop out? I think they get a lot of shit because he had a curly blond perm because this is an amazing song”) and discovers BTS (“Keep playing because I’ve never heard a BTS song. This is making me excited in a lot of weird ways!”)

Brie Larson belted out an acoustic version of Normani‘s Motivation which was good — but I also kinda wish she hadn’t? I’m cool with her version of Miley Cyrus’ “Slide Away” though.

-Netflix’s cheesy new rom-com Falling Inn Love is getting good reviews. Not that bad reviews would have stopped me from watching it, but still.

-HBO is releasing the new episode of Succession tomorrow because of Labour Day weekend. And it’s the introduction of Holly Hunt’s character!

-This thread from Cole Hersch (creator of I’m The Dad Now) about the time he was accidentally cast on a dance show is gold.

Meryl Streep play a widow investigating insurance fraud that turns out to be the scandal at the heart of the Panama Papers in The Laundromat trailer, coming soon to Netflix.

Kelly Clarkson Is Ready To Tackle Daytime

kelly clarkson daytime talk show

-Ahead of her syndicated talk show (premiering Sept. 9), Kelly Clarkson covers People and talks about prioritizing her family (“When we were doing the schedule for the show, I was like, ‘I have to drop my kids off at school.’ And I’m always the one who puts them to bed”), impressing her kids (“Our 3-year-old doesn’t get it but the 5-year-old, she’s very clever. She’s already asked that I have Chris Martin on to sing ‘Yellow.’ It’s her favorite song”) and recounts bursting a cyst on her ovary while filming live finales of The Voice — just one week after suffering through a burst appendix while hosting the Billboard Music Awards (“Blake [Shelton] was talking to me and all of the sudden, everything he said just went away and I had to grab his arm and I was like, ‘Something is wrong.’ That was more painful than the appendicitis. It was literally a week after my surgery so I was freaking out!”).

-Holy shit, I want Hugh Grant to ghostwrite all of my insults from now on. This is savage!

-This is a pretty terrible report about how a lot of Rihanna fans have unknowingly signed up for a $50/month VIP membership for her Savage x Fenty lingerie line — and they can only cancel over the phone.

Martha Stewart backhand complimenting Gwyneth Paltrow is a thing of beauty.

-This interview with Joel Schumacher is so very, very juicy that the bit about a post-Pretty Woman Julia Roberts crying in his arms in the backseat of a car and saying “I never needed to be this famous” isn’t even the best anecdote! When asked about shooting Batman Forever he said: “Tommy Lee Jones is, and I say this with great respect, a scene stealer. Well, you can’t steal the scene from Jim Carrey. It’s impossible. And, I think it irked Tommy. He wasn’t kind to Jim. He did not act towards Jim the way an Oscar winner with a star on Hollywood Boulevard, being the oldest member of the cast, and having such a distinguished career and the accolades to go with it, should have acted towards Jim.” He also called Val Kilmer “psychotic.” “I do know Marlon Brando threw Val’s cellphone in the bushes [on the set of The Island of Dr. Moreau] and said, ‘Young man, don’t confuse your ego with the size of your salary, ever.’ Here’s the difference between Val Kilmer and Tommy Lee Jones. I don’t care what state Tommy is in emotionally, when that camera rolls, there is no bad take. Val is a different story.”

-I am very here for Lauren Graham‘s return to TV.

Netflix just nabbed a show about female journalists and politics from super producer Greg Berlanti and The Vampire Diaries creator Julie Plec, inspired by NYT writer Amy Chozick’s best-selling memoir about being on the campaign trail with Hilary Clinton.

-The third season of 13 Reasons Why is getting trashed by critics.

-This is a very good look at fandom-led campaigns, specifically the one created to save The OA.

This video of Sophie Turner meeting Queer Eye’s Jonathan (who used to host Gay of Thrones) is a delight.

Victoria Beckham posted a photo of David dressed up like Elton John and it’s really what I needed to get me through this never-ending week.

Lana Condor and Noah Centineo are vacationing together. Cool cool cool.

-I HATE elevators but if I had gotten stuck for hours with Jason Momoa, I might get over it.

-This is tragic: Jessi Combs of Mythbusters died in a “horrific accident” in Oregon while attempting to break her own land-speed record. She was 36 years old.

-Just before its debut at Venice and Toronto, the final Joker trailer has arrived.
