-After it came out that he reportedly staged photos with paps, Meghan Markle’s dad is no longer attending the royal wedding. Is it just me, or does her messed up family make her more relatable?

-Meanwhile, George and Amal Clooney reportedly nabbed an invite.

-Do I have to rethink my whole stance on Benedict Cumberbatch? In a new interview, he says actors should boycott projects that do not pay woman the same amount as their male co-stars. “Look at your quotas. Ask what women are being paid, and say: ‘If she’s not paid the same as the men, I’m not doing it.’”

-This is a great take on Anna Wintour‘s recent editor’s letter in Vogue, in which she insist Georgina Chapman had no knowledge of husband Harvey Weinstein‘s behaviour.

-The actors who are in Hawaii filming the Netflix movie Triple Frontier continue to bless us with wonderful photos. This time, Charlie Hunnam and Garrett Hedlund are running shirtless on a beach.

-I really like Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons’ baby name. Huh.

-Led by Cate Blanchett, 82 women climbed the steps of the Palais des Festivals at Cannes to call for gender equality in the film industry.

-Cardi B deleted her Instagram account following a spat with Azealia Banks.

-Chris Hemsworth‘s daughter came up to him and said she wanted a penis like her brothers and he had the best possible response.

-Harrison Ford surprised Alden Ehrenreich during his interview with ET in the most Harrison Ford-ish way. “Get out of my chair.”

-As New Girl winds down this week, Zooey Deschanel reveals that T.J. Miller almost played Schmidt. Thank god that didn’t happen.

-Busy Phillips supporting her Dawson’s Creek pal Joshua Jackson on Broadway makes me smile.

-Pink let a fan sing at her Vancouver concert and it was great.

-This Is Us star Justin Hartley says a female fan sexually harassed him – and then got angry when he didn’t want to pose for a selfie.

-Not gonna lie: Mandy Moore crying about filming *that* scene in last season’s This Is Us kinda got to me.

-For Mother’s Day, Gwyneth Paltrow shared a nude photo of herself just before she gave birth to Apple in 2004.

-On the latest episode of Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s Facebook show, her daughter Willow shocked her by revealing that she started cutting to deal with the post-”Whip My Hair” fame.

-Even though he once wrote an editorial pushing for his blacklisting, powerhouse agent Ari Emanuel is now reportedly helping Mel Gibson’s return to Hollywood – in order to please Mark Wahlberg.

-Another Transparent crew member alleges that Jeffrey Tambor kissed her without her consent. Meanwhile, Amazon has pulled him from the Emmy race.

-Oh no. Ex-NCIS actress Pauley Perrette says he endured “multiple physical assaults” on the set.

-I had no idea when I was watching last week’s Atlanta that it was already the season finale. What a nearly perfect second season. I still don’t know what to think about that ending, tho.

-Ryan Reynolds sang ‘Tomorrow’ from Annie dressed as unicorn on a Korean TV show. This promo tour is wild, y’all.

-Most of the TV cancellations and renewals have been announced (though NBC still hasn’t pulled the trigger on Timeless, despite Kelly Clarkson and Leslie Jones caping for it). Agents of Shield was renewed, Gotham is coming back for a final 13 episodes (which will take them to the 100-episode mark needed for syndication), Lethal Weapon will return with Seann William Scott replacing Clayne Crawford, and CBS dropped Kevin Can Wait and Scorpion. Perhaps most surprising were the seemingly slam-dunk pilots that weren’t picked up, including Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba‘s Bad Boys spinoff,  Hannah Simone‘s Greatest American Hero reboot, and Katie Holmes‘ FBI drama.

-This is a good explainer on why Fox was particularly brutal with the axe this season (TL;DR: NFL, a desire for multicam sitcoms, lack of show ownership, and the Disney deal.)

-Fox also announced they have no more plans for The X Files. Good on Gillian Anderson for hitting up Twitter and refusing to shoulder the blame for the show not going forward.

-This is a great interview with Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s showrunner about the roller coaster of emotions he experienced in the 13 hours between Fox cancelling it and NBC picking it up.

-I seemed to be the only person on Twitter this weekend who did not watch The Kissing Booth on Netflix, which meant I didn’t get to partake in the freakout when it was revealed the main stars are dating IRL.

-The first trailer for Spike Lee‘s highly-anticipated BlacKkKlansman has landed, starring John David Washington (Denzel’s son) and Adam Driver.
