Kanye West Drops Manager, Tweets Trump Support

-It’s not unusual to watch Kanye West tweet batshit stuff, but today seemed a little more out of control than usual. On the heels of multiple stories out of People that he’s had “explosive fights” with Kris Jenner (which she denied) and that he “seems to be on the edge,” Kanye tweeted about dropping manager Scooter Braun —  and then he and Donald Trump engaged in a Twitter lovefest. Kim Kardashian was quick to defend him.

-Meanwhile, Kanye loses 9.2 MILLION followers in less than 10 minutes after posting a photo of him wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

-Even Kris seems to have lost control of the narrative. What’s happening?!?

-This interview between Denzel Washington and Michael B Jordan is a delight. (“How old are you?” “31.” “Man, I got underwear older than that.”) Also, I find it super refreshing for a young actor like Jordan to talk about strategy and wanting to break into international markets.

-Four decades later there was an arrest in the Golden State Killer case, which was based on renewed interest in the case thanks to the book written by Michelle McNamara, true crime writer and Patton Oswalt‘s late wife.

Danai Gurira stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk Infinity War and shot down talk that an all-female Avengers is in the works. “I think it is a rumor, but the cool thing is that it’s showing there’s this hunger for that type of thing.”

-The Infinity War press tour continues to be a treasure trove of delightfulness. I especially like the interview combo of Letitia Wright, Sebastian Stan and Tom Hiddleston. Letitia taught them how to Milly Rock, and Tom schooled them on the origins of the slang term “stan”.

Allison Mack attempted to recruit several actresses for NXIVM – including Emma Watson and Rashida Jones.

-I missed these photos earlier of Damian Lewis as Rob Ford. I wish I still missed them.

-Despite the backlash, Joss Whedon still thinks his leaked Wonder Woman script was “great.”

Clayne Crawford tried to explain away his Lethal Weapon reprimands. It’s interesting that his costars/crew don’t seem to be piping up to publicly defend or support him, isn’t it? Deadline is even reporting that he and co-lead Damon Wayans have “stopped speaking to each other.

-Man, the more I read about the Universal FanCon fiasco the angrier I get.

-Life imitates art for Kevin Hart in J Cole’s new music video.

-The Ocean 8 cast’s appearance at CinemaCon has me REALLY excited for the upcoming press tour.

-Speaking of CinemaCon, people lost their poo over the trailer for Bradley Cooper‘s A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga.

Hank Azaria opened up about the fate of Apu on Colbert: ‘I’m perfectly willing and happy to step aside.’

Alia Shawkat has spoken out in support of the victims who have accused her Arrested Development costar Jeffrey Tambor of sexual harassment on the set of Transparent. “I’m an actor, I worked with him. It’s not about sharing my personal opinion of him…What those victims said needs to be heard just as much.”

-Bless Jezebel for posting all of the Time 100 gala looks in one place.

-Jessica Chastain plays a painter who becomes embroiled in the Lakota peoples’ struggle over the rights to their land in the Woman Walks Ahead trailer.

Kate Middleton Has a Baby Boy

-The royal baby boy has arrived! I will never get over the protocol of having to pose for photos so quickly after the birth. This is Kate just SEVEN HOURS after delivery!

-But when it comes to birth announcements that made me teary, Dwayne Johnson won the day with this Instagram post. He welcomed his second daughter with girlfriend Lauren Hashian.

Sarah Jessica Parker is still trying to sell us on SATC’s happy set vibe. When asked by Vulture about any resolution with Kim Cattrall, she said “I’d just like to remind everybody that there is no catfight. I have never uttered an unkind, unsupportive, unfriendly word, so I would love to redefine it…no, there is no catfight, there never has been a catfight. I’ve never fought with someone publicly in my life, nor would I. And I spent time with all of the women on the set. People need to recall that it wasn’t just two women on the set fighting because that just never happened.”

-We still have to wait a few weeks for the royal wedding, but here’s a clip from Meghan Markle’s TV wedding. (I know the guy who plays the DJ!)

-Remember that TV Line blind item a couple of weeks ago about a TV drama that should be a sure bet for renewal, except the lead actor’s terrible behaviour was jeopardizing its chances? Turns out it’s about Lethal Weapon’s Clayne Crawford. A Deadline reporter says “I have learned that Crawford has had a history of bad behavior on the show, and that he has been disciplined several times over complaints of emotional abuse and creating a hostile environment. I hear the issue has escalated to a point where other actors as well as crew on Lethal Weapon would feel uncomfortable being on set with him.” TV Line reports that Fox is thinking of recast him — possibly with a woman.

-Speaking of bad behaviour in TV, Brad Kern is not only still running NCIS: NOLA, his contract is reportedly going to be renewed by CBS. All despite the fact he’s been investigated multiple times for HR violations, according to Variety. Swell!

-Jesus, Shania Twain really stepped in it this weekend with an interview in the Guardian in which she said she would have voted Trump because “he seemed honest.” She took to Twitter to retract/apologize but the damage was done.

Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington are submitting for leads instead of supporting at the Emmys. They aren’t going to win either way, but this doesn’t help.

-I always preferred weekend 2 of Coachella. It has a more laidback vibe and the people who are there just to take Instagram photos have already left. Unfortunately it doesn’t live stream, so we missed Beyonce’s new wardrobe and Ariana Grande‘s surprise performance.

-This clip about Supergirl saving her favourite shirt before going on a mission addresses a lot of problems I have with superhero shows.

James Corden is doing a Carpool Karaoke primetime special tonight and did a whole Bruno Mars-inspired music video for it.

Universal FanCon was cancelled abruptly this weekend when organizers confirmed that they didn’t have enough money to cover the convention’s costs, and the way they’ve handled it is the biggest PR mess I’ve ever seen.

-Speaking of things that whipped fandoms into a frenzy this weekend, a reporter called out an Avengers actor for treating him badly on the junket (he has since deleted the tweets, but before he did he confirmed that it wasn’t Josh Brolin or Dave Bautista.) Whoever it is, Jessica Chastain  knows!

Amy Adams sees dead people in the creepy Sharp Objects trailer, HBO’s new miniseries based on Gillian Flynn’s book.

-It’s been a rough day in Toronto. I have comforted myself by watching the Crazy Rich Asians trailer an embarrassing amount of times. I’m not even sorry. This looks AMAZING!

Chloe From Smallville Just Got Arrested For a Sex Cult

allison-mack-chloe-smallville sex cult

-This story continues to be NUTS: Smallville actress Allison Mack was arrested this morning. She and Keith Raniere, of the NXIVM cult, were charged with “sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy.”

-This Busy Phillips profile is a wonderful read. She talks about gaining fame through her Instagram Stories, her friendship with Michelle Williams, and the flack she got for posting on the anniversary of Heath Ledger’s death. “I’ve never even really spoken about it, because I never would want to have it be misconstrued in that way, but it was the ten-year anniversary, and…It’s just been a long ten years, you know?”

Jimmy Fallon got choked up while paying tribute to Tina Fey: “Today, I have two daughters and my hope for them is that they grow up to be leaders like you, and that they’ll be as fearless and confident in their strengths as you are.”

-This is tragic: Avicii, the EDM producer and DJ, is dead at 28.

Sarah Jessica Parker is warning everyone not to “disregard men” in the push for more female-centric films. Yes, god forbid we forget about the men!!!

Will Smith recalled his bizarre meeting in a closet with Michael Jackson.

At this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, the moderator of a panel on Scarface decided to ask Michelle Pfeiffer how much she weighed when she shot the movie. The audience was NOT having it.

Janelle Monáe’s Dirty Computer is dropping with a 50-minute-long sci-fi film, which will debut on MTV and BET on April 26. As someone who has listened to “Pynk” 9,293 time this week, I approve.

-I never really thought I’d see Elisabeth Moss twerking on Ellen but here we are.

-I haven’t watched Scandal in years but I tuned in for last night’s finale. Are fans pissed? I’d be pissed.

-Ruh roh. Scarlett Johansson is singing again.

Denzel Washington seeks justice in Antoine Fuqua‘s The Equalizer 2 trailer.
