Drake Is Feeling Generous in New Music Video

Drake gives away $1 million in his new “God’s Plan” video and I’m not crying, you’re crying!

-Now that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have made their split official, all the blind items that people suspected were about them are coming out.

-Meanwhile, everyone is buzzing about a possible Aniston/Pitt reunion. Why would she do that? She’s been pretty clear that she doesn’t want kids — I’m not sure we should want her to take on six of someone else’s.

-I’m going to Black Panther tonight and I CANNOT WAIT! I was following the #WakandaCameToSlay hashtag last night of everyone posting pics of being dressed up for opening night, and the world showed out!

-Also, I love that Brie Larson is using Twitter to help people buy Black Panther tickets for others.

Jimmy Kimmel broke down in tears during his monologue last night.

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo welcomed baby No. 2: a daughter named Geo Grace Levine.

-Oof, Jeffrey Tambor’s statement about getting fired from Transparent is not a good look. “I can only surmise that the investigation against me was deeply flawed and biased toward the toxic politicized atmosphere that afflicted our set.”

-Another YA author bites the dust. Maze Runner author James Dashner  has been dropped by Random House in the wake of misconduct allegations.

-Meanwhile, the best statement I’ve seen yet from an author who’s been caught up in this since the School Library Journal first published their article about harassment in children’s lit is Myke Cole’s. It’s like a master class in giving an apology. This is my favourite part: “If you’re a friend who is thinking of stepping in to defend me, please don’t. The culture only changes if people own their behavior, without excuses, exceptions or defenses. I did this. It’s mine to carry.”

-An actress is suing Omar Epps, claiming he broke her arm when he improvised a scene while shooting USA Network’s Shooter in 2016.

-This deep-dive into the National Enquirer’s “catch and kill” method (when they buy the rights to a story so they can bury it) is fascinating.

-This tweet about Andrew Garfield being awesome slipped past my radar last week but it’s so good I’m linking to it.

Jennifer Lawrence‘s Red Sparrow is getting mixed reviews, with most critics saying its more style over substance.

Natalie Portman said when she was pregnant with her second child, she felt a trickle down her leg and assumed her water broke. Turns out her husband the only thing that broke was her husband’s water bottle.

-I always love finding out which actors are most in demand during pilot season.  Actresses with multiple offers on the table include Evangeline Lilly, Kat Dennings, Vera Farmiga, Olivia Munn, Leighton Meester, Neve Campbell, Ginnifer Goodwin and Marisa Tomei. On the actor side, it’s Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Taran Killam, Jason Sudeikis, Michael C. Hall, Colin O’Donoghue, Dax Shepard, Josh Charles, Ryan Eggoldand and Corey Stoll. It’s also interesting that The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan is openly looking for a new gig.

-I’m glad that Netflix’s Everything Sucks is getting good reviews. It feels like a natural show to follow The End of the F*cking World.

-Speaking of well-reviewed TV, Atlanta season 2 is reportedly stronger and stranger.

-Get Out’s Daniel Kaluuya says someone had to tell him that on American movie sets, you’re supposed to kiss without tongue. “I was just doing it, because I thought we’re keeping it real!” Allison Janney added a story about how kissing Meryl Streep comes with a face lift.

-The Kaiju are bigger than ever in the new trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising.
