Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt kickstarted their Oscar campaign with a rare joint interview, in which they call their marriage “very stable” and laugh about her inability to be a conventional wife. Jolie: “Every three months I’ll say ‘Honey, maybe I should learn how to cook?” Pitt: “I just humour it, but really she has no business in the kitchen.”

-Un-cancel your Halloween party, guys. Katie Holmes isn’t really going to be on 20/20 tonight speaking out about Scientology critic Leah Remini. She just gave a written statement in response to Remini’s comments that she was once reprimanded for telling Tom Cruise and Holmes to “get a frickin’ room” after she saw him “forcibly kissing” her.

-I usually despise long dresses with sheer skirts, but this picture of Diane Kruger sums up all of my life goals.

-Prepare to weep: Kim Kardashian has had her most profitable year ever, raking in 28 million dollars.

-I adore the fact that Sandra Bullock keeps nabbing George Clooney roles. Now she’s set to lead an all-female Ocean’s Eleven reboot.

-Yet another new X Files trailer. Is there going to be a second of footage from the premiere that we won’t have seen by the time it airs?

-This is a great piece about why we should all stop watching the Watching Dead. No one will, but still.

-Did anyone actually watch the Bones/Sleepy Hollow crossover? I don’t watch either of those shows but it seems SO WEIRD. The ratings didn’t suck, though.

-In a new interview, Carrie Fisher tells Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridle “Don’t be a slave like I was…You keep fighting against that slave outfit.” Solid advice.

-The next season of Game of Thrones will be delayed, maybe to give Martin more time to write the next book.

-The best part of this piece about Suffragete is how the male actors and their agents chafed against playing supporting roles.

-It’s adorable how Lindsay Lohan still thinks we care.

-This is depressing: ESPN just killed Grantland, which had some of the best entertainment writing I’ve ever seen. It wasn’t a perfect site (their Dr V story basically caused a trans woman to commit suicide), but their podcasts and features didn’t just analyze pop culture, they interrogated it and correlated it to what was happening in society at the time. They’re responsible for some of the most entertaining articles I’ve ever read, whether it was a deep-dive into Julia Roberts’ stardom, a story of isolation in Alaska, or a hilarious recap of the best Jeopardy champ of all time.  RIP, Grantland.

-Here’s the first trailer for My Name is Doris, starring Sally Fields and Max Greenfield. It’s a romcom — and they’re THE COUPLE!!
