-As expected, Anna Kendrick was a total delight on Letterman last night, talking about fur-covered dildos and Ambien-induced surprises.

-So it looks like the theatre chains’ reluctance to show The Interview is hitting Canada, too. Since the majority of theatre owners are declining to show it, Sony went ahead and canceled the film’s release entirely. Just when you thought things between studios and theatre owners couldn’t get more tense…

-In other “whoa” industry news: HBO is no longer releasing overnight ratings, instead focusing on the L+7 (live plus seven, which includes anyone who watched their shows within a week, including DVR ratings), which will be hard for the press to verify. This is big news for TV geeks.

Amy Adams and Taran Killam get romantic in their new SNL promos. Her fan-girling over 1D at the end is the best.

-I’m not proud that I just clicked on a headline that said “The Best Shirtless Moments From TV This Year“, but here we are.

Jamie Dornan already has this media promo thing down. He’s talking about visiting a “sex dungeon” for 50 Shades research.

Sam Smith, Demi Lovato and a couple of boy banders I don’t know modeled the raddest ugly Christmas sweater ever.

-God bless whoever put the lip synch scene from The Skeleton Twins on Youtube! I’m going to watch this whenever I’m having a bad day. There was no better crowd reaction that I experienced in a theatre this year than when Kristen Wiig finally joined in. (And I’m including the time that guy yelled, “Yeah, girl — you take out that weave!” in the middle of Beyond the Lights).

-Some woman who once dated Idris Elba is now writing sad songs about him. I’m just impressed she can still find the strength to get out of bed.

-More Mel B sadness: she’s reportedly moved out of the house she shares with her husband Stephen Belafonte amid those abuse rumours.

Blake Lively cooks with Top Chef winner Hung Huynh ’cause she’s better than you in every way.

-Deep breaths, everyone. Serial’s final episode drops tomorrow. The Funny or Die spoof about how the last installment will go is so, so perfect.

-A teeny, tiny teaser for Game of Thrones has landed.

-The Interwebs is now lusting over Jennifer Lawrence’s bodyguard. They may have a point.

-Here’s a great interview with Joss Whedon, talking about the next Avengers movie.

Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon played BFFs at summer camp on The Tonight Show last night. It wasn’t very funny, but they did break a lot, so there’s that.
