Chris Hemsworth Had “No Empathy” for Liam’s Failed Relationships

Chris Hemsworth GQ

-Way to crush my brodreams, Chris Hemsworth! In his new GQ interview, he talks about watching his little brother flail in life. “I’ve watched Liam do things I did at his age. Like being in relationships he shouldn’t be in, or being reckless just to prove a point. And I had no empathy. My mom had to remind me I was the same way.”

-Congrats to Eddie Redmayne, who just got married.

Zooey Deschanel posted a video of her New Girl costar Max Greenfield lip-synching to Rihanna while wearing a fat suit, and it’s everything.

Angelina Jolie contracted chickenpox; still looks adorable.

Leighton Meester is probably the only cast member who’s been reluctant to publicly bad-mouth Gossip Girl since it ended, which I admire. But I also admire her saying that she hopes young girls don’t idolize the relationship between Chuck and Blair because “there was some domestic violence in there.” #DAIRforever

-God bless Diane Kruger‘s Instagram. I really needed this today.

-I did not, however, appreciate Miley Cyrus‘ latest Instagram adventure. Gag.

-Also, Justin Bieber and Chris Brown thought it would be funny and not at all distasteful to post a choking photo. They were wrong.

Maisie Williams has issues with Emma Watson‘s “first-world feminism.

-So Barbara Walters has named Amal Alamuddin the most fascinating person of the year — not because she’s a kick-ass human rights lawyer with a list of accomplishments miles long, but because getting George Clooney down the aisle “was really one of the greatest achievements in human history.” No, really.

-Speaking of George, the latest Sony leak reveals that he really, really hates bad reviews (but also seems to acknowledge that The Monuments Men kinda blew).

-Also leaked: Cameron Crowe’s upcoming movie with Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone was labelled “ridiculous,” Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence make less money than their male co-stars, Sony execs are worried about how bad The Interview is, and Channing Tatum’s emails are everything you’d want a Channing Tatum email to be!

-There’s a very interesting debate happening on whether or not the press should be reporting on the Sony leaks.  Aaron Sorkin says no (and while I agree with some of his points, I don’t understand how he can argue that the emails aren’t “newsworthy.”) For smart takes from the other side of the debate, read here, here and here.

-If you thought Gilmore Girls on Netflix was an evil time suck, just wait until the entire Friends library  lands in January.

Mel B’s husband slammed rumours he had anything to do with those bruises she was sporting on The X Factor.

Krysten Ritter is geeking out over the chance to work with a female showrunner on the upcoming Jessica Jones series. Man, I heart her.

-Speaking of female showrunners, this interview with Jane the Virgin’s is so thoughtful. That show’s definitely going to make my year-end Best Of list.

-I really love Vulture’s annual “Toughest Scene I Wrote” series. First up is Richard Linklater talking about that final Boyhood moment.

Rose McGowan talked about stepping away from acting because she was sick of being constantly sexualized. She was recently on an episode of the Chicks Who Script podcast and I was kind of impressed.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers convinced someone to marry his crazy eyes.

Bill Cosby briefly broke his silence and now everyone’s wishing he hadn’t. Also, Camille Cosby issued a statement comparing the allegations to the UVA rape story. ::headdesk::

-Shake it off! Taylor Swift and Beyonce danced together at Justin Timberlake’s concert.

-Here’s Ashton KutcherMila Kunis and Rihanna starring in a fake trailer that appears in the new Annie, which is undoubtedly more entertaining than Annie will be.

-Charming: Beyoncé’s estranged dad tried to shop a Destiny’s Child biopic.

-It’s a good sign that this new clip from Agent Carter passes the Bechdal Test.

-I didn’t really understand why everyone was so upset when HBO announced they were remastering The Wire, but I get it now that Fox is remastering Buffy and there are crew members in some shots.

Jon Hamm has never signed on to play a superhero because he doesn’t want to be stuck in a contract until he’s 50. Also, we already kind of know how he’d fill out the tights.

-Whoa, the BBC is turning the book Wolf Hall into a limited series? I want.

Chris Hemsworth and Viola Davis will save you from cyberterrorists in the new trailer for Blackhat.
