Jennifer Lopez Gets Glamorous for Glamour

glamour-jennifer-lopez

[NOTE: I’m taking the rest of the week off because I’ll be in Paris (woot!). If you get bored, feel free to watch this video of Vin Diesel dancing alone to Katy Perry and Beyonce for 7 minutes]

Jennifer Lopez looks lovely on the cover of Glamour UK. Mermaid-y, but lovely.

Anna Kendrick sounds like she’s living Ke$ha’s old life.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard took to Twitter to call for a boycott of magazines that pay for photos of celebrity children. I fully support it. There’s a reason you won’t find links to photos of kids on this blog.

Emma Watson looks like a princess on the new cover of Wonderland.

Jay Leno is still doing a really crappy job at pretending he’s okay with leaving The Tonight Show.

Amber Heard‘s engagement ring from Johnny Depp is stupid big.

-Here’s a preliminary list of which movie trailers we can expect to see on Super Bowl Sunday.

Peter Facinelli and Jaimie Alexander aren’t engaged, just in case that rumour was keeping you up at night.

Ed Sheeran says Taylor Swift doesn’t twerk — she “shanks.” Um, ok.

-The whole Jezebel vs. Lena Dunham makes a lot more sense now after Sunday night’s Girls.

Ronan Farrow is getting his own MSNBC show, which explains all the tweeting.

Last night’s How I Met Your Mother was all about the mother. Here’s a recap of all the times she’s previously been mentioned on the show.

Jude Law testified in that phone hacking case yesterday, and ended up talking about the time Sienna Miller cheated on him with Daniel Craig.

-After this weekend’s SNL, everyone on Twitter was talking about how Cecily Strong looked preggers, and she called them all “bully dickheads,” which is fair.

Keira Knightley admits that she has a pouting problem.

-Dammit. I actually really like Zooey Deschanel‘s capsule collection for Tommy Hilfiger.

Jennifer Lawrence looks practically naked as Mystique on the cover of Empire.

-Sweet! Chris Hardwick has reunited the cast of The State for @midnight.

Scarlett Johansson’s SodaStream commercial has been banned, but you can watch it here.

-In a new behind-the-scenes clip from Thor: The Dark World, we get to see what Loki looks like in Captain America‘s red, white and blue.

Josh Malina and Bradley Whitford are helping the White House promote their Big Block of Cheese Day. It’s just like the good ol’ days!

-If Woody Harrelson finds your lost phone he’ll turn it into the police — but not before snapping some selfies.

The Orange Is the New Black cast is posting behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram.

Will Wheaton and Felicia Day are teaming up for another Game Day. Last year’s was awesome.

-Speaking of awesome, Wiz Khalifa appeared on Joan Rivers’ Fashion Police.

Tina Fey is the latest celeb to guest star on Jerry Seinfeld‘s Comedians in Cars.

-Wait, *that’s* what Jay Z is rapping about in “Drunk in Love”? Gross.

Ariana Grande and Amy Adams wore the same D&G dress, except Amy didn’t pair hers with bad pantyhose and satin shoes, so she continues to be the winner at life.

Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad’s Mike) will appear in the Better Call Saul spinoff. Yesss!

Sir Mixalot tweeted a photo of Harry Styles peeing in a bush and commented on his “cute bum.” That’s clearly the weirdest sentence I’ve ever typed…

Heidi Klum and her boyfriend/bodyguard are dunzo.

-Here’s a new trailer for Mila Kunis and Clive Owen‘s Blood Ties.

The New Maleficent Trailer Heavies Up on Angelina Jolie

Maleficent Angelina Jolie

-There’s a new trailer for Maleficent and it’s great — mostly because it’s all Angelina all the time (sorry, Elle Fanning) and it’s soundtracked by a wonderfully creepy Lana Del Ray song.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won best new artist and best rap album last night at the Grammys, and it means a lot for hip hop. They also made me verklempt with that mass wedding stunt.

-It’s great that Macklemore texted Kendrick Lamar after the show to say the wrong person won best rap album. Less great is that he then Instagrammed that text.

Trent Reznor‘s closing Grammy performance was cut off in favour of an airline ad, and he took to Twitter to vent about it.

-Speaking of the Grammys, here are my picks for the best and worst dressed and my full red carpet gallery for MSN.

Sharon Osbourne had an “explosive confrontation” with Jonah Hill‘s brother, music manager Jordan Feldstein, at a pre-Grammys party. There’s even a photo of her throwing a glass of water at him as he walks away.

-Whatever Grammy photos you’re looking at today, they won’t be as awesome as the ones 50 Cent Instagrammed with Meryl Streep. This one slays me.

-Have some time to kill? Check out this oral history of the 1996 hit movie Swingers.

Josh Lucas (who convinced me that it’s actually possible to get lost in someone’s eyes when I met him a few TIFFs ago) is splitting from his wife of two years.

-A jury has acquitted Courtney Love of libel on Twitter because they didn’t believe she was aware her tweet was false. Guys, Courtney Love isn’t aware of *anything.*

-I love love love Sandra Bullock’s vampy makeup at the DGA Awards.

Kerry Washington, meanwhile, showed up at the DGAs in an actual tent. Anna Kendrick, on the other hand, fared better than at the Grammys.

-Speaking of fashion, Anne Hathaway has ditched stylist Rachel Zoe after a decade of working together.

Amanda Bynes is getting a “lifestyle makeover,” which basically means she’s spending thousands of dollars to eat kale at a resort.

-This is terrifying: a stalker was arrested on Selena Gomez’s property.

This NYTimes article on how the Knicks decide which celebrities sit courtside is crazy interesting. “Woody Allen is not welcomed anymore, and he understands.”

-The first Fifty Shades Of Grey poster has been released … and it’s all about Jamie Doran‘s butt. They clearly understand their target demo.

-Fun: Elizabeth Banks is going to direct Pitch Perfect 2. She produced the first one.

Tegan & Sara are in a new Oreo commercial, which I’m going to choose to think is awesome.

-Several Florida cops have been suspended for giving Justin Bieber an unofficial escort to a bunch of clubs in the days before his arrest.

-Meanwhile, the Biebs has resurfaced in Panama following his arrest (with Usher, who’s hopefully taken it upon himself to get that kid in line). Bieber’s also back on Twitter because, you know, priorities.

-At least there’s some good news for his camp: almost all charges against Bieber will be dropped.

DMX is the greatest wedding crasher of all time. Sorry Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. Your reign is over.

Scarlett Johansson had to release a statement defending her endorsement of SodaStream.

-I love and adore Prince, but I really wish he’d stop suing fans for pirating his music.

Jennifer Aniston is still not married, just in case you heard otherwise and/or forgot to send a gift.

This article on MSCL made me want to rewatch the whole damn thing.

Quentin Tarantino is suing Gawker for publishing his Hateful Eight script, a film he has now shelved because of the leak.

Jennifer Lawrence is about to sign another three-year exclusive deal with Dior, which means something from this collection will probably end up on her come Oscar night. Dior hasn’t done right by her so far this award season, but I could see her pulling off this or this. Just please, not this. Or this. Or especially this.

Kate Moss‘ new campaign for Alexander McQueen is fierce.

-The unexpected by-product of Sean Penn dating Charlize Theron? He doesn’t seem so grumpy anymore. He even looks downright giddy in these photos.

– The first trailer for A Long Way Down is here! I loved loved loved the Nick Hornby book this is based on, and it stars Aaron Paul, so clearly I’m all in.

Grammys’ Best and Worst Dressed + Full List of Winners

The Grammys are never the red carpet you look to when you want couture greatness. The word “classy” isn’t ever really associated with this one. Picking the worst dressed at the Grammys is always a breeze, but the best dressed is always a struggle. Still, I’m giving it a try below. For a full gallery, check out the one I did for MSN Canada here.

BEST

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp89Q-S18Z/” width=400]

Yes, she stuck to her usual sparkly shtick, but this slinky Gucci might be Taylor Swift’s best showing in ages.

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp8hGvLAH3/” width=400]

She got a lot of flack on Twitter for flaunting her curves, but I thought this indigo Armani Prive was stunning on Alicia Keys. As Danny Castellano once said, “You’re a woman and that’s good; look like a woman.”

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp7TeJnOYu/” width=400]

I’m ignoring the arrows pointed to Pink’s va-jay-jay and giving her props for colour and class — two things she has lacked on past Grammy carpets.

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp8blXPDTF/” width=400]

Not only did she look stunning, Amber Rose talked about how hard it was to lose her baby weight (she was 9 months pregnant on last year’s red carpet), and it made me kind of love her.

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp7iZ4xrEY/” width=400]

Guys, I’m putting Giuliana Rancic on my best dressed list. I know it was slim pickins’ and all, but still: this is historic!

WORST

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp9S42vXnc/” width=400]

Instead of “roar”-ing onto the red carpet, Katy Perry floated in on a cloud of tulle. The music note detailing was probably good on paper, but when she was getting interviewed by E!, they just looked like a weird stain near her crotch. Not a good thing.

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp-TzSHMwO/” width=400]

Why was Paris Hilton there? Why did she look even more desperate than usual? Why were all the photo agencies flooded with pics of her but I couldn’t find one decent photo of Sara Bareilles, who’s like, an actual nominee?!? I guess the only thing good about this dress is that it’s a slight step up from what she wore earlier in the weekend.

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp7xrHiBMK/” width=400]

It hurts me to say anything bad about Anna Kendrick so I’m just going to leave this photo right here…

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp5eUUiIYg/” width=400]

Go home, Paula Patton. You’re drunk.

[instagram URL=”http://instagram.com/p/jp-cghla3g/” width=400]

I actually don’t hate Madonna and her son’s matching Ralph Lauren tuxes, but I just can’t tear my eyes away from her face. What happened to her face?!?
