Kim Cattrall Supports Cynthia Nixon

-She may be feuding with Sarah Jessica Parker, but Kim Cattrall still has (kind of?) nice words for at least one of her former SATC costars. She tweeted her support for Cynthia Nixon’s New York Governor bid. It wasn’t the most glowing endorsement, but still…

-The Shia Labeouf comeback tour is upon us. There’s a new biopic starring Lucas Hedges as Labeouf (because white dudes in Hollywood get countless chances for redemption), and now there’s a new Esquire profile, which mentions he turned down offers to appear in The Social Network, 127 Hours, and The Bourne Legacy.

I really hope this tweet is Gillian Anderson’s response to the news that they plan to continue The X Files without her. Or the reaction to the season finale which I haven’t watch yet, but according to the outrage on Twitter, did her character dirty. Whatever it’s about, it’s expert shade.

-In advance of this weekend’s march, George Clooney penned a letter to Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school students, telling them “You make me proud of my country again.” Bill Murray also expressed his support in an NBC News op-ed.

-Terrible: a firefighter died on the set of an Edward Norton-directed movie.

-According to a new lawsuit filed against Russell Simmons, a woman claims she met him when he invited her and her son backstage at a DefJam concert and then he trapped her in a hotel room and told her “I am going to f**k you or I’m going to f**k your son.”

-The Cannes red carpet is full of weird rules (like women have to wear heels) and they just added another one: no selfies.

Will Smith and Jimmy Fallon performed the history of sitcom theme songs.

Rosario Dawson stars in the Krystal trailer, directed by William H Macy.

-Andrew Garfield might be losing his mind in the trailer for Under The Silver Lake.

Gwendoline Christie and John Boyega Face Their Fears

-Could The Last Jedi press tour be any more charming? Here’s the cast taking the “Which Star Wars Character From The New Trilogy Are You?” Buzzfeed quiz. Buzzfeed also had Oscar Isaac and John Boyega read thirst tweets about themselves. And my favourite:  Gwendoline Christie and Boyega sticking their hands in a creepy box.  “Is it a crab?! Is it a CRAB?!”

-While we’re all buying canned goods and prepping our makeshift bunkers for the end of times, Taylor Swift is reflecting on how awesome 2017 was. You do you, girl.

Jamie Foxx celebrated his 50th birthday with Katie Holmes by his side. (I love how in this video you can clearly see her say “Don’t worry about me. It’s your birthday. I’m good!” and yet he continues to fret over her.)

Nine more women have accused Russell Simmons of sexual misconduct.

Harvey Weinstein responded to Salma Hayek‘s sexual harassment claims, releasing a statement to say “All of the sexual allegations as portrayed by Salma are not accurate.”

-Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock got ahead of the story by admitting to sexual misconduct in an open letter. The Super Size Me director revealed that he was once accused of rape and had settled a sexual harassment claim made by a female employee. Spurlock also admitted to being “unfaithful to every wife and girlfriend I have ever had.”

-I’m glad that Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle are inviting other kids besides Keaton to the Infinity Wars premiere.

-Why did I read the latest creepy Dear David thread right before bed last night?! (Here’s the entire saga if you never want to sleep again.  I’m still holding out hope that this is an incredibly effective, incredibly slow-moving viral promotion for an upcoming horror flick.)

-On the flip side, this is, without a doubt, the best Twitter thread to ever exist.

-My favourite holiday tradition is watching Olivia Colman and David Tennant playing chilli jam roulette while in their Broadchurch costumes. (It’s also a stark reminder that I don’t know much about scone etiquette. Her anger at the idea of putting jam on before cream baffles me.)

-Could the Murdoch sale spell doom for the Fox network as we know it?  Scripted shows suddenly make a lot less sense than reality shows, live events and sports.

-The Ocean 8 poster is everything.

-I really couldn’t get through this whole Madonna interview. She’s beautiful. She’s always been beautiful. What is she doing?

-People is predicting Jennifer Lopez is going to get engaged over the holidays, which kind of bums me out. Not her getting engaged, but the apparent lack of surprise around the whole thing.

-Speaking of engagements, is that a new ring on Rihanna’s hand?

George and Amal Clooney proved to be solid citizens by handing out headphones to their fellow passengers to apologize for having their 6-month-old twins on board.

-Look, Salma Hayek has been basically cancelled for me since she spoke over Jessica Williams. But she just shared her story with the NYT about how difficult Harvey Weinstein made life for her on the set of Frida when she refused his advances.  “No to letting a naked friend of his give me a massage. No to letting him give me oral sex. No to my getting naked with another woman. No, no, no … And with every refusal came Harvey’s Machiavellian rage.”

-The palace has confirmed that the royals have broken with tradition and invited Meghan Markle to spend the holidays with them, even though she and Harry aren’t married yet. She’s already mixing it up!
